The Family

My wife Cindi and I make our home in Chattanooga, Tennessee where I work as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Along with my solo singing engagements, I also sing with InSpirit Men's Chorus. There are always a few song ideas on my mind and at present I am working on several new songs.

Cindi is an administrative assistant in the Financial Administration department at Southern Adventist University. She has a vivacious personality, and people who meet her like her instantly. She enjoys spending time with friends and with our two children - Steven, 24 and Emily, 23.

Steven is a server for P.F. Chang's, an up-scale Chinese restaurant in Chattanooga, while he works through Southern Adventist University's International Business program. Steven is a versatile trumpet player, being both an excellent sight-reader and also playing by ear. You can hear his beautiful tone on the "We Have a Home" track on my debut CD, and "Praise to the Lord" on my recently released second album. He also enjoys playing the piano, horsemanship, and cooking. Steven serves as webmaster for martinyoungmusic.com, and his help with the project has been invaluable. Steven's wife Wendy is a delightful person and a very welcome addition to our family. She is a full time massage therapist with Therapeutic Touch and doing very well.

Emily is a graduate of Southern Adventist University with a degree in mass communications. She now works with Media General out of Hickory, N.C., designing several area newspapers, as well as writing news articles for the Hickory Daily Record. She has also written numerous feature articles, which have been published in Insight Magazine and Columns Magazine, among others. She is an experienced photographer, doing the photography for and assisting with the graphic design for my first CD.
