Song - Emily's Song

Picture
When my daughter Emily was planning her wedding she asked if I'd write and perform a song for the ceremony. I said I'd be honored and asked if she wanted a "wedding" song or a "daddy/daughter" song. She wanted a "daddy/daughter" song. So I set to work, trying to put in as many details and memories as I could. I have to admit that my goal was to write a tear-jerker, and "Emily's Song" is the result. I realized right away that I'd never be able to sing it live so we produced a single and played at the reception while Emily and I had a very special moment. We were both crying before the first chorus!
